I welcome you all to the cells ministry ant Full Gospel Church - Makerere. Home cells were started with the Vision of getting everyone to be minister and leader. We extended the vision with a desire to reach our communities with the love of Jesus. We started with about 10 home cells and currently we’ve about 55 homes cells.
Home cells are seen as the basic unit of church. A church is compared to a human body which consists of blood cells as the basic units. The cells join together to make an organ and the organs form a system and final we’ve the body. Therefore cells should be key for church growth.
Benefits of home cells:
- Provide an avenue to develop spiritual gifts and talents.
- Helps believers to be accountable to each other.
- Provide an avenue for evangelizing our communities, relatives and friends.
- Helps develop long, meaningful and lasting relationships
- Helps to experience and give God’s unconditional love
How are the leaders chosen?
The cell leaders are who started the home cells help in identifying the potential leaders in their respective home cells. They also look at the aspect of commitment of the cell members and their desire to grow. These members are usually asked to start other home cells or help lead a given cell.
Sometimes we have faced difficulties considering the fact that church members are requested to begin cells yet they do not know much about home cells.
Achievements of Home cells.
- People in home cells are more active in the local church ministries.
- People have developed a sense of belonging
- People are experiencing good and lasting relationships
- People have realised the need to share the Gospel.
